Escapades

The City of Whereverweare is just about the most dysfunctional, horrible, anarchical, chaotic, and just overall terrible place on the surface of our world, Roundthing. But, it's not get ahead of ourselves, this doesn't mean that interesting and exciting things don't happen there.
It's not all that bad, either. If you look at the place, it looks decent enough. It's got paved roads, sidewalks, and everything you'd expect to see in a city: from is tall buildings to the countless rows of houses that look exactly the same. A Pizza Shack on every corner, plenty of unimportant people roaming the streets, and every other necessity a thriving city needs.

A young man strutted down one of the streets, a big grin stretched across his face. He appeared to be about sixteen years old, more or less, and was an unremarkable fellow going on with this business.
“My names Kiorein,” he monologued to himself. “That's Key-Oh-Ren, Kiorein Kevereth,” he continued. “And, finally, after all these weeks of hard work and risky investing, I'm finally rich! Man, I can't wait to buy a car, and hire a driver who can drive it!”
“What the?” spat a nearby man. “Why are you telling me all this?”
Kiorein shrugged his shoulders, and turned his attention to the treasure he cradled in his arms. In the two bright orange boxes were two Pizza Shack Calzones. These calzones were the lifeblood of the city, the choice of food of all the people. For only $5.99, you would have yourself a mighty meal that would conquer your hunger.

Meanwhile, heading down a perpendicular street was a vastly different fellow. A fox, he was. A fox that stood on two feet and wore clothes. For lack of a smaller word, he was anthropomorphic. A reddish orange in color, he was dressed from head to toe in policeman's garments. On his face were reflective sunglasses, and on his chest was a glow-in-the-dark policeman's badge. He whistled happily as he twirled his baton around on his finger.
“Hey, Frank!” he said as he waved to some random guy. Suddenly, he stopped, frozen in his tracks, sniffing the air. “Two calzones? Fresh out of the oven?” the fox-cop rubbed his hands together fiendishly. He crept up to the street corner, peering over. His eyes were graced with good news! Some happy fellow with purple hair was meandering down the road with a feast in his arms! The fox grinned and his eyebrows raised cunningly. He strutted over to the other street, bringing a whistle to his lips.
“Just a couple more blocks and-” Kioreins self conversation was cut off by the loud screech of the whistle.

Kiorein let out an un-manly startled yell, stumbling over the curb. “I-is there a problem, officer?”
“That's Instant to you, Officer Instant, and you bet there's a problem. You've got yerself some illegal contraband, there, sonny.”
Kiorein glanced about himself, checking himself for something that may be suspect. Soon, his eyes rested upon the two calzone boxes, where Instant had also been intently staring, peering at them through his shades.
“What, my calzones.”
“Yep, fork 'em over and you're free to go. You're lucky I don't book you right here.”
“Yeah, but, this is my lunch you can't just--”
“Listen here,” started Instant, jabbing Kiorein in the ribs threateningly with his baton. “If you don't want any trouble, you're gonna hand over that contraband.”
Kiorein sighed, looking at his meal for one last time, a single tear escaping his eye. He began to slowly hand over the boxes, before the ground shoo, and a huge shadow loomed over them.

“Halt! In the future, lunch is a felony!” boomed a mechanical voice.
Kiorein and Instant looked up in horror to be hold the figure casting the shadow. It was a gigantic robot! And not just a robot, on its chest was a giant, gleaming policeman's badge. It had some sort of exercise equipment for a head.
Kiorein held his head in frustration. “What, do I smell like donuts today?” he spat.
“I... I don't get it...” Instant pondered aloud.
“Cops! Lot's of cops bothering me today!”
“Ohhh, I get it. Wow, that's pretty lame.”
“HALT! In the future, not listening to a cop is a felony!” boomed the robo-cop.

Instant looked angrily at the machine. “Darn it, man! You're ruining my robbery!”
Kiorein looked upon this with wonder, pondering what he was witnessing.
“H-hey, are you even a real cop!?” he demanded, glaring at Instant.
“Er, uh...”
“I knew it! I'm out of here!” he yelled, fleeing.
Instant turned back and looked at the robot. “See what you did?” he said with a glare. “Hey, come back here with my lunch!” he added, before giving chase.
“Halt, this is all probably some kind of felony!” the robot yelled before also giving chase.
