I know little tidbits about the music tastes of my fellow Italicers. Swanson seems to be into indie rock, while GT likes to listen to artificial musicians that live inside of tiny boxes play artificial symphonies.
Since we're all trapped inside this hellhole of a forum with no escape, I'm genuinely curious what all your music tastes are.
Someone else go first, so if the topic flops, I can say I was just being ironic and of course, I don't care what music you guys listen to.

Since you described my primary musical taste I will add myself to the classic rock list. I'm also in to some old school punk, Ramones and The Clash. Also, I've recently gotten into The Talking Head and The Pixies, both really good, I'd recommend them to anyone who likes rock.

I can enjoy practically anything but the radio station I listen to all the time describes itself as an Alternative Rock station so I guess that's my favorite genre.
ALSO I BET KIO LOVES THAT THERE RAP MUSIC.[/racist joke]

Stair, Kio, you didn't answer the question.
I will now.
My music tends to cover a pretty broad range. A little from column A, a little of column B. One of my favorite things in music is a musician who is a master of their instrument, which is probably why my favorite all-time band, Nickel Creek, consists of the world's best mandolin, guitar and fiddle player. I have soft spots for bluegrass and acoustic folk.
Musical nodes I do not activate include rap, techno and anything primarily electronic, because I don't get much enjoyment from songs that are synthesized and not played.
If you want to learn more, I suggest you check out my Last.fm page. I scrobble pretty much everything I listen to. http://www.last.fm/user/Srol

Cool, I'm glad you like it.
Although that's an interesting turn of phrase to use in reference to an Indigo Girls song, seeing as both of the ladies in the duo, Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, are huuuuge lesbians.

Yeah, I'm the total opposite of that, I honestly don't care how good the person is at playing an instrument, or even if it's a real instruments. The only thing, to me, that matters is how it sounds. Now, if it's synthesized, and sounds annoying, or if it's synthesized to imitate a real instrument and misses the mark, then I won't like it.
With that said, my musical tastes are very eclectic, I'll like anything that
a) I don't find boring and b) sounds good
If it's too slow, or the instrumentation is boring, I probably won't like it, and if it's obnoxious, I won't like it.
As for what I listen to, I listen mainly to music from games. Not because I absolutely prefer it (though I do love much of it), it's mainly 'cause I don't know of much else, and it's easy to access it, and I experience a lot of the music without searching for it, I'm just playing a game and I hear it.
I'll throw together a playlist when I get the chance

I looove this music video.
The genre is popunk, I think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHx-xqs3hO8
*Message box pops up* "CT felt something warm inside of his heart."
It's like the robot left a little while ago because of something petty, probably. Then after wandering the streets for a while he misses his old life and how it was... plus his family. So he goes all Determinato-ugh... So he gets all Determined and MARCHES HIS BUTT RIGHT BACK THERE. And when he gets back they greet him with open arms and they party. It's like whatever made him leave never happened. Hate the music if you want, but I looove the music video...
