The AC Adapter that came with my Wii is apparently fried since it turns the Wii off completely after a random amount of time has passed. And I mean completely. Even the red light isn't on and I have to wait a few minutes to just unplug it and plug it back in to make the red light come on...
So a new one was ordered... it consistently turns the red light on when I plug it in, probably meaning the Wii's receiving power, but... when I try to turn the Wii on it immediately shuts off.
I looked at the packaging and notice that it says Nintendo itself didn't make the Adapter and, indeed, isn't even affiliated with it... and the package says Nintendo Wu but I thought that was just because it was from China or something. And, upon closer inspection, it looked slightly different than my first one, too. It was a different shade of Grey and it didn't have the Wii logo on the specs that are imprinted on it.
*sigh* It WAS working for a when I tried a new slot and tested how long the power would stay on (It didn't turn off), but when I came back and tried to turn it on again it stayed on until I put a certain Gamecube controller and then it started turning on and turning off again when I tried to power it up.
I researched the product online and discovered it only worked for ... and THEY say theirs all work fine... which is sort of infuriating... So, advice, anyone?
