Also featuring run on sentences Italic RPG Italic RPG is a game that tells the story of a world known simply as "Italic", a representation of "Italic Forums", a "popular" internet forum. This world resembles Earth in many ways, but is overall a bizarre and confounding place. Even the inhabitants of this world are unaware of the world around them, with most people unsure of what lies in the world around them, almost as if mankind started with them. However, it's also clear that the planet has a history, with ancient societies, and there are obvious modern items, like computers, and cities. The characters, while some are purely made up, are in some way reflecting upon a member of "Italic Forums." Many world locations are also based on subforums in the forum. In addition, references to content found on the forums, like "Escapades of Kiorein and Friends", and "Samurai in Space" will also be found here, along with general internet references (not gay ones), and then things that are just made up. In this world, a handful of people, through luck or effort, have obtained "Power Ups", which are seen in the form of blue, flat, tiles. Kiorein, the finder of the Fire Tile is threatened by GT the Shape Mage (???). These Tiles are apparently a threat to him, and Kiorein gathers up the rest of the people who ended up with Tiles to thwart GT. Things get more complicated when word of something claiming to be the "Italord" or less popularly the "Italideity" begins to reach our heroes. The creator of Italic, this being has claimed to be, and GT seems to be interested. The group travels many places, fights many guys, sample many different kinds of foods, and invent their own flavor of P'zone in this adventure to discover the motives to GT's plan, and thwart him, while attempting to gain understanding about their world by finding the "Italilord" and understanding his vauguley foretold intentions for the world. It's weird that I'm "Lawful Good" and GT's "Chaotic Good", according to the wiki, yet we're the bad guys in the RPG. Oh, irony, you never cease to amuse me. |
