Post ideas and comments for various enemies and concepts for the game's dungeons and pathways. Okay here are the areas and area concepts we have so far with their theme next to them. (?) - Name liely to be changed or I'm unsure about it
ZHere are some suggestions I have Instant's Place Dirtlamb - A dingy lamb anthropomorphic. More lamb than person, having beast like appendages with hands growing out of the hooves of his forelimbs, Dirtlamb can punk kick and maybe like throw dust balls - Will be incarnated a few times with different themes. Phunx/Funx/Phunks - A hoard men covered in old dirty laundry. They attack with boomerangs made out of Instants discard P'Zone boxes. - Theres multiple men, thats what makes them a hoard Some Guy - Hes just some guy apparently squatting in Instant's place - Also appears in Panic Shores. Icky Spider - A big brown house spider! Panic Shores
Buff Bro - A buff beach bully who wants to beat you up and take your stuff. Wil' Wil' West Dustlamb - Dirtlamb wearing a cowboy hat, cowboy chaps and a bandanna around his neck. He can use throwing knives which can be dropped or stolen (only one or two at a time) and used by Khrene. Bandito-man - Some guy dressed as a bandito with a fake mustache on. Sleaze-o-City Drug dealer - A shadowy guy in a trench coat. He can offer a character drugs by lifting up his coat with the insides pointing away from the camera and gesturing that this is "good stuff." If the target's spirit isn't high enough to resist it, the character may get various status ailments. - Also throws a drug dealing frisbee. Robber - Pretty self explanitory, a guy with a sack and horizontal black and white stripes on his shirts and a skee mask on. Stairopolis Killo-Blimp - a small automated blimp with two gattling guns on the fornt ends and a massive spear like mast in the front. |

"Think Tank" -- A tank that has gone rogue. It has nothing in it, yet it moves and is driven by malevolent intent. Watch out! |

[2010:02:04:17:56:15] Kiorein: I'm thinking we'll have about 8 enemies that have varying intelligence and strength [2010:02:04:17:56:34] Sgt. Foley: h/o [2010:02:04:17:58:53] Sgt. Foley: here [2010:02:04:17:58:56] Sgt. Foley: how about a tank [2010:02:04:17:59:15] Kiorein: Why do you like to make .bmps? [2010:02:04:17:59:20] Sgt. Foley: I am stupid [2010:02:04:17:59:26] Sgt. Foley: and hasty in wanting to show you [2010:02:04:17:59:51] Kiorein: Well, we could fight a tank in the demo [2010:02:04:17:59:57] *** Kiorein has received C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan\My Documents\My Pictures\italicenemy.PNG. [2010:02:04:18:00:00] Sgt. Foley: YOU CAN FIGHT A TANK [2010:02:04:18:00:05] Sgt. Foley: WHEREEVER [2010:02:04:18:00:25] Kiorein: That's true too [2010:02:04:18:00:35] Sgt. Foley: and since it's made by honest kio [2010:02:04:18:00:38] Sgt. Foley: you have an excuse [2010:02:04:18:00:44] Sgt. Foley: that an angry surfer boy with a staff [2010:02:04:18:00:46] Sgt. Foley: could kill one [2010:02:04:18:00:50] Sgt. Foley: regardless of how wussy he is OH HEY LOOK I HAD THE SAME IDEA FOUR MONTHES AGO. Edited by Kiorein, Jul 27 2010, 03:59 PM.

I'd list all the other ideas for places in the game, but I don't want to spoil anything. Anyways guys if you feel like actually being helpful, you can post some ideas for general enemies or anything that Khrene listed. Though I'unno why he listed Texas on there, it's gonna be more of a secret/optional place with only two or three enemies The game is probably going to be pretty long so we should probably be able to cover all of the generic types of areas |

Okay then some generic areas and enemies Aractic/Snowy Area Frostlamb - Snow Homie - Some guy who lives in the arctic. Rime Roc - A large heavily feathered bird that generates and stores massive loads of frost in it wings and beats it wings to deliver the ice in a projectile attack. Tainted Tundra (Rare enemy or like a sub-boss or it will arrive alone) - A corrupted incarnation of the snow-lands. Uses a combination of powerful earth, ice, and dark based magic. Unnasigned/Other Bold Snap - A Buffer enemy that will cast strength and spirit buffs on it's allies and berserk on it's allies who do nothing but attack. This enemy will target characters who haven't been attacking with berserk. Not sure exactly what it'll look like, I'm kinda imagining like one of the element guys from FF 10. Croger Cutter - Some crazed man with two knives. Poser/Wannabe - A guy with mediocre cool points, can be threat to lower level parties (like toward the beginning of the game). His attacks, if they land, have a fairly high critical hit ratio and can cripple a single character. |

Forest/Swamp (Cake Holt? Itali-forest? Collision Woods?) Hedge Frog/Turf Toad - carnivorous Frogs/Toads the size of dogs that have fake bushes and other plantlike off shoots growing of their back. They lure in smaller herbivores like rabbits, and even large bugs, by mimicking a plant's chemical signals then striking under the ground or the water (streams, pond, swamps). Idea for a dungeon: Srolhio/Stairlantis/Srolantis - It'd either be a city built up from a massive pool where most of the structures are built mostly submerged in the pools depths or the same thing but under the ocean, except there still is a pool but the water in the pool is chlorinated and not salty. |

Stairlantis would be the underwater dungeon of stairopolis. Stairopolis would basically be somalia except in the year 2068 with lasers and shit. |

I see. What do you think about the enemies? I'd think there'd have to be like some sort of death zeppelin with laser and missiles, and some rogue robots. Would there actually be people? Would there be mutants due to it being the yeaar 2068? |

No they are too afraid to leave their houses. Also the robots would be mutated somehow. Edited by Stairmaster, Aug 22 2010, 08:35 AM.

Since I want The Subordination Zone to be a prison it should have Prison guards on-duty and ready to beat the everliving... something... out of you. ; Night-sticks would be a good weapon, I think, since it's a symbol of oppression (appropriate for a prison) and police are known to carry them. The night-stick has a chance of dizzying (accuracy loss) you if you're hit with it. Other guards can carry Tasers which have attacks with the occasional paralyzing property to them. They should probably be mostly physical attackers who'll rarely use items for various things. (Pepper spray to lower accuracy. Maybe they'd have a snack on hand which they can use to restore health.) If you want to change things up you can have them in different ranks with them getting new abilities and power with each rank. (I got this idea from the Pigmasks of Mother 3.) Alrighty! I like it! Subordination Zone/Prison: Oppression Guard: Just a name for the first rank of (I'll dub them for now the Oppression Force) described by CT. Simple, nightsticks and tazer fists. Iron FIST : A higher rank of the oppression force. FIST stands for Flechette Intolerance Suppression Troops. They will use and drop flechette rounds for Srol and if you're lucky one of their guns. These guy would be be tough, along with their flechette rifles, they'll have things like tear bombs (discourage (would you wanna fight with burning gas in your eyes?), loss of accuracy, dizzy/disorientate) and other suppression weapons. Tyrant's Eye: A small copter with a spot light and a small flechette shooter. Easily destroyed, but call guards. Jail Bait I'm thinking some creature(s) that lives in the prison/subordination zone. It will have some sort of lore like the angler. I'm really just working off the pun. The guard could possible tame these things to set loose on people. Edit:It could be the hedge frog/turf toad enimies. Sworden/Oppression Sword Remember the spinning sword enemy from the flying shooting game? Those guys I'm suggesting him just cause I liked him. Although a whip/flog version would be more appropriate for the subordination zone. Maybe these guys couls hang with the FIST Donut Guy A guy with a paper hat that hangs around with all forms of police and some jail guards. Feeds the police donuts and chugs to restore health and the like. Cake Holt? (Now officially inspired by redwood forests of Humboldt county) Banana Slugger: A large anthropomorphic banana slug wearing boxing shorts and gloves. He could have some kind of punch that poisons you or dehydrates you or something, because apparently their mucus makes your lips tingle when you kiss them and it also acts as a their own personal shamwow to soak up moisture so they don't dehydrate. Sword Fern Image this[LINK], but with two of the branches the leaves will gradually get long and fuse onto a leafy blade. Grizzly Pie It's a bear with a pie for the torso. (Cake Forest. Pie Bear) I'm thinking he'll be a tougher enemy, because he'd be able to hide in his pie body for protection. Kushion (inspired by llama snake chimera) A lizard/snake survives in the cold wet climate of the Cake Holt with the use of feathers/fur and thick scales. It got it name from it rummaging in people's fields of marijuana, eating it and saving the THC in a once vestigial spitting sac. It now spits the drug at it's prey in concentrated amounts to get them high and disorientated before killing them. Edited by Khrene, Aug 30 2010, 03:59 PM.
